Acceptable use
Draft under legal review. This text is provisional and may change before Tripula launches. In case of any discrepancy, the Portuguese version prevails.
What is and isn't allowed on Tripula machines, how fair use of resources works and how a suspension happens. This policy is part of the Terms of use.
1. What machines are for
For developing software: writing, running, testing and reviewing code, with or without agents. Running your app in development, databases, Docker and previews is part of that.
2. What is not allowed
- Mining cryptocurrency or running workloads that aren't development, such as serving a production product to end users or continuous batch processing.
- Sending spam, phishing or unsolicited bulk messages.
- Attacking systems: denial of service, intrusion, password cracking, distributing malware or controlling botnets.
- Scanning, probing or testing the security of third-party systems without written permission from their owner.
- Storing or distributing illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, or content that incites violence.
- Infringing third-party rights: intellectual property, trade secrets, personal data processed without a legal basis.
- Circumventing limits, allowances, internet restrictions, billing or the platform's isolation, or trying to access other customers' machines, data or accounts.
- Reselling, renting or handing over machines or seats to third parties, or using one dev seat for several people working as if they were one.
- Using Tripula to breach the terms of model providers (Anthropic, OpenAI and others), for example by sharing an individual subscription among several people or working around its limits.
3. Fair use of resources
Each plan has a CPU, memory and disk allowance; anything beyond it is billed through the configurator, up to the cap the organization sets. Machines hibernate on their own when idle and must not be kept running artificially just to avoid hibernation.
If a machine harms the others on the same server (excessive CPU, disk or network for a long time), we may limit its resources, and we'll tell the owner.
4. Who is responsible for what happens on the machine
You are responsible for what happens on your machines, including what agents do and the people you invite. Whoever administers the organization is responsible for the permissions they grant.
5. How suspension works
In most cases, we notify the machine's owner and the organization's owner by email first: we say what we saw and give a deadline to fix it.
If there's an immediate risk to the platform, other customers or third parties (an ongoing attack, spreading malware, illegal content), we may hibernate the machine or suspend the account right away, and notify you right after.
Suspension affects as little as necessary: first the machine, then the account. Data is not deleted because of a suspension, unless the law requires it.
6. Appeals
If you disagree, reply to the notice or write to contact@tripula.dev within 30 days. A person on the team reviews the case and replies within 5 business days. If the suspension was a mistake, the machine comes back and the suspended period is not charged.
7. Reporting abuse
Saw a Tripula machine being used against you or third parties? Write to security@tripula.dev with the address, the time and what happened.
